I think there’s this very refreshing new level of openness and honesty in the way people communicate with each other these days. It’s all because we’ve learned so much from (over) sharing these last ten years. It’s now, “Hi. This is who I am.”

Very close to my heart, in my country of birth, is a charity I am deeply involved with. It’s called Lalela. A Zulu word meaning to listen. And that is what we do. We listen to the stories of the most in-need children in South Africa and we quite literally bring more color into their lives. We open our schools to keep children off of the streets, and to show them love and care. To teach them of the beauty of art. And the power of self-esteem. We now have 5000 students. I don’t want this to sound too preachy or heavy, because most of all we bring fun and joy into these children’s lives. Please go to our site and learn all about us. You’ll see.
